Rita Dove

Rita Dove desde 1993 hasta 1995 fue destacada como Poeta Laureada de los Estados Unidos y Consultora de la biblioteca del congreso y como Poeta Laureada del estado de Virginia desde 2004 hasta 2006. Ha recibido numerosos reconocimientos literarios y académicos, entre ellos el Pulitzer Prize en 1987, y más recientemente, en 2003, el Emily Couric Leadership Award, en 2001 el Duke Ellington Lifetime Achievement Award, en 1996 el Heinz Award y en el mismo año el National Humanities Medal. En 2006 recibió el Stellfox Award, otorgado por Dickinson College, donde se edita esta revista.

Rita Dove served as Poet Laureate of the United States and Consultant to the Library of Congress from 1993 to 1995 and as Poet Laureate of the Commonwealth of Virginia from 2004 to 2006.
