Vera Pavlova

Vera Pavlova nació el 4 de mayo de 1963 en Moscú, Rusia. Realizó estudios avanzados de música en la Academia de Música Schnittke, especializándose en la historia de la música. A la edad de 18 años, bajo la tutela de Aram Khachaturian, inicia su carrera de compositora. A los 20 años comienza a escribir poesía, y sus primeros poemas fueron editados en la revista literaria Youth cuando ella tenía 24 años. Desde entonces sus poemas han sido editados en numerosas revistas literarias y periódicos. Su primer libro, Celestial Animal , fue editado en 1997 y le siguieron Second Language (2000), Line of Detachment (2000), y Fourth Sleep (2000). Éste último recibió el premio a la poesía Apollo Grigoryev. Su poesía, nunca antes editada en castellano, se incluye en este número de Sirena.

 

Vera Pavlova was born on May 4, 1963, in Moscow , Russian. She finished Advanced Studies of Music in the Schnittke Academy of Music, specializing in the history of music. When she was 18 years old, with the blessings of Aram Khachaturian, she began her career as a composer. She began to write verses at the age of 20. Her first verses appeared when she was 24 in the journal Youth . Since then, her poems have been published in numerous newspapers and periodicals. Her first book, Celestial Animal , came out in 1997 and was followed by Second Language (1998), Line of Detachment (2000), and Fourth Sleep (2000). The latter won the Apollo Grigoryev Prize for poetry. Her work, never published in Spanish before, is included in this volume of Sirena.
