Hans Wap

Hans Wap (1943), nació y continúa viviendo peligrosamente en Rótterdam, Holanda, aproximadamente a unos tres metros bajo el nivel del mar. Es parcialmente un poeta y mayormente un pintor. Sus obras de arte han recibido numerosos premios en Corea, España, Alemania y en Holanda. Como poeta ha publicado en 1967 schoten & filtersigaretten y en 1974 de zangeres zonder stem, van wie is dat gekke koppie y de olifant en andere insecten . Después de este período permaneció en silencio por veinticinco años (no por falta de inspiración) y publicó nomade, een huismus op stelten y ze zeggen dat lopen de voeten slijt. Sus poemas han sido publicados en holandés y traducidos al alemán por Michael Augustin y Janet Blanden. Este número de Sirena publica al autor por primera vez en castellano y en inglés.

 

Hans Wap (1943) was born and still lives dangerously in Rotterdam , The Netherlands about 3 meters under sea level. He is partly poet but mostly painter. His artwork has won several prizes in Korea , Spain , Germany and in the Netherlands . As a poet he first published in 1967 schoten & filtersigaretten in 1974 de zangeres zonder stem, van wie is dat gekke koppie and de olifant en andere insecten. Followed a silence of twenty five years (not a writer's block) after which he published nomade, een huismus op stelten and ze zeggen dat lopen de voeten slijt. His work has been published in Dutch and translated into German by Michael Augustin and Janet Blanken. This issue of Sirena is his first publication in Spanish and English.
