Michael Augustin reside en Bremen, Alemania, trabaja como poeta y locutor de Radio Bremen, para la cual conduce un programa radial de poesía y sirve como editor de los documentales radiales semanales. Es autor de varios libros de poemas, drama y cuentos, entre ellos Kleines Brimborium y Das perfekte Glück, de los cuales los poemas en esta edición son reimpresos con el permiso del autor. También ha publicado A Certain Koslowski, Ad infinitum: Gedichte und Epigramme : Poems and epigrams : Dánta agus burdúin. Algunas de sus obras han sido traducidas al inglés, al italiano, al polaco, al gaélico y al holandés. Augustin también ha realizado trabajos de traducción en las áreas de la poesía y teatro (Kenneth Koch, Pearse Hutchinson, Simon Gray, Adrian Henri, Roger McGough, Adrian Mitchell, Raymond Carver y otros). Michael Augustin lives in Bremen, Germany, where he works as a poet and broadcaster with Radio Bremen. He hosts a regular poetry program and edits the weekly radio documentary. He is the author of many volumes of poetry, drama and short prose, among them Kleines Brimborium and Das perfekte Glück, from where the poems in this issue are reprinted with the author’s permission. He has also published A Certain Koslowski, Ad infinitum: Gedichte und Epigramme : Poems and epigrams : Dánta agus burdúin. Some of his books have been translated into English, Italian, Polish, Gaelic and Dutch. Augustin has also done work as a translator of poetry and drama (Kenneth Koch, Pearse Hutchinson, Simon Gray, Adrian Henri, Roger McGough, Adrian Mitchell, Raymond Carver and others). He has read at numerous international literature festivals and is the recipient of the Friedrich-Hebbel-Prize and the Kurt-Magnus-Prize. In 1984 he was a member of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa, and in 2003 he was the Max-Kade writer in residence at Dickinson College.
